Helping Feral, Stray and Low-Income Cats ...
GREAT NEWS!
We are very proud to announce that we have finally received our official letter from the IRS granting us our 501c3 status. This has been almost two years in the making, and its been a long time coming. Many people have worked hard to get us to this point, and now we have arrived at this milestone. The 501c3 status is our building block, and it will allow us to expand our fundraising efforts, to apply for grants, and in the long run, we will be able to help even more kitties, more often.

  WHO ARE WE?
We are a group of volunteers and friends who work together to help cats live better lives. We spend countless hours helping feral, stray, and house cats get spayed, neutered, vaccinated and find homes if they need one. This includes fostering cats and kittens at several peoples homes, adoption, referral services, rescue, feral cat trapping, volunteering with different organizations, lots of driving and tons of hours on the phone or internet.

We have friends from all different regions within Oregon, and we all work independently to get things done locally in our communities, but having an email and phone network helps find more homes for more cats, and allows us to share ideas and stories.

Thanks so much for stopping by to see us!!

  WHAT DO WE DO?
As I mentioned above, we do all kinds of things for cats, but our main goal is to help stop the over-population problem. We focus on spay and neuter, and getting as many cats through that process as possible, and can help provide information and resources for low cost services, trapping of ferals, loaning out cat carriers, as well as transportation for cats to vets or clinics. The biggest problem we face daily, is not enough funds to fix all the cats we get phone calls about.

Fostering and adoption is part of what we do, depending on space available with volunteers and friends. We are not able to take in every cat that needs a home, in fact we cant even come close. There are so many cats in need of homes and care that usually the best we can do is use the network to get emails and pictures sent out to help the current owners find a home. Many times a person will be looking for a certain type of cat, and another person will be trying to find a home for that same kind of cat, so it just clicks.

Rescue is a limited part of what we do, depending on financial ability, space, and the severity of the animal in need. Currently, all of our rescue donations come from local supporters who receive our emails or phone calls, but we plan to apply for grants and donations from larger Corporations, now that we are an official 501c3. Sometimes we can get a cat on the evening news or in the newspaper and find donations that way as well.

We provide information for spay and neuter, trapping advice, food for low income caregivers, adoptions, and relocations, and can help answer general questions about cat related things, although most information is already available online. Please see our links to other sites.

WHERE DO WE DO IT?
We are mostly located in Lane County, Oregon, but have friends all over Oregon. We can help spay and neuter, trap, foster and rescue cats from Lane County, and can adopt cats out to almost anywhere in Oregon, and sometimes Washington. We have an active carpool, transport system and can help with transportation of cats to new owners in far away Oregon places, please ask.
